Privacy statement

Short version: your photos and designs stay on your device. We don't ask for your name or email, and there is no account.

Your photos and designs

Every maker runs entirely in your browser. When you choose a photo or type a text, it is turned into a 3D model on your own device. It is never uploaded to us or anyone else, and the STL you download is created locally too.

What our hosting provider sees

The site is hosted by Netlify. Like any web server, it briefly processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the pages. We don't use analytics or tracking cookies.

Download counts

When you download a file, your browser sends one small anonymous message to our counter: which page it was on and which file or model variant (for example "lamp shade" or the phone model). Nothing else is sent or stored with it: no IP address, no cookie, no photo or text, nothing that identifies you. We only use the totals to see which designs people like.

Code libraries

The site's own font is served from this site. To build the 3D models, your browser loads code libraries (Three.js, Manifold, earcut, opentype.js, and Leaflet for the map) and, on the name tag and phone case pages, the font files for your text from jsDelivr, a public code delivery network. jsDelivr receives your IP address when your browser requests these files. Nothing you type or upload is sent with them.

For a 3D relief, your browser also downloads a depth model (Depth Anything V2, about 27 MB) from Hugging Face, a public host for AI models, together with the code to run it (Transformers.js, from jsDelivr). Hugging Face receives your IP address when the model is downloaded; your browser keeps it, so this happens only once. The model then runs on your own device: your photo is never sent to Hugging Face or anyone else.

Map to STL

The 3D map maker uses OpenStreetMap services. Your browser loads the map pictures from OpenStreetMap's tile servers, sends what you type in the search box to Nominatim (OpenStreetMap's place search), and asks the Overpass API (overpass-api.de, or overpass.private.coffee as a backup) for the buildings, roads, water and parks in the area you chose. These services receive your IP address and that request, nothing else. The 3D model itself is made on your device.

Complaints

If you disagree with how your data is handled, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
